Deregulation of formerly regulated electrical systems has created, and will continue to create, additional and more complex interfaces between the various entities involved in the sale and purchase of energy as it moves from the generator to the end customer. This proliferation of interfaces has resulted in an increased interest in metering systems and metering data management.
